Persons in police detention – DETENT

If a foreigner finds himself or herself in the territory of the Slovak Republic without authorization for entry or is deprived of personal freedom, in most cases, his journey ends at the police detention centers for foreigners of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic in Sečovce and Medveďov. However, even in this difficult life situation, we do not abandon our clients and provide assistance to them in these facilities. Our colleagues—experts in social and psychological work and education—offer daily support directly in both facilities.

We also ensure essential contact with their closest family and friends. Clients have access to material aid, supplementary healthcare, hygiene supplies, and other necessary provisions to help them manage their current challenging life situation in detention.
